Issue #5 Cold Weather Sports Cars And Turkeys
Impressions…
Convertibles are cool.
Driving a convertible is cool.
I was extremely lucky in 2018 to inherit a lovely little red Miata. I want to think that I look cool driving it.
If we are being totally honest, I’d really like to pretend I’m 20 years younger when I’m behind the wheel. And to fool myself by thinking that sunglasses and makeup and cute clothes support that image.
But when I forget to turn off my turn signal I think my age is quite apparent.

Surprise Number 1
Remember last week’s post about warm weather?
Well, I went and bought the first of my Spring garden plants and the warm weather promptly ran away to be replaced by, yes, SNOW!
Thankfully I was able to hustle the pots into my enclosed porch before everything bit the dust.
There’s probably a future bone to pick with God there…
Surprise Number 2
This week our town has been experiencing “Urban Turkeys”. It seems it’s mating season and the local wild turkeys are not content with their rural options.
Click the link to see this imposing fellow who spent a fair amount of time in our driveway and on our lawn.
