Issue #10 Questionable Eating Habits
And…
There are days.
You know the days I mean.
Thinking about cooking, doing the cooking, eating the cooking, cleaning up after the cooking…
You’re so over it.
I mean, there’s the figuring out what’s in the house followed by sorting through how much of it has, sadly, expired and earned a trip to the trash bin.
Then, finding a recipe that can be made from the remaining motley ingredients, calculating the time needed to churn out said recipe, firing up the stove or oven or whatever, and coming to the conclusion that it doesn’t sound good anyway…
And your eye settles on the jar of popcorn kernels.
Two minutes later you have dinner.
It even has two of your favorite food groups - butter and salt.
It’ll do.

Cherry Blossom Time
We have a lovely little dwarf cherry tree. In May, we get to enjoy the blossoms, and, round about the fourth of July, there should be enough ripe cherries for a pie or two. Stay tuned…
